16 oz. Handmade Stoneware Mug

This pottery mug is glazed in a deep turquoise glaze overlapped by a creamy yellow glaze creating an area of green peeking through a wash of creamy yellow with lots of interest where the two glazes intersect. The inside of the mug is glazed with the deep turquoise glaze. Capacity: Comfortably holds 16 oz., 18oz. filled to the brim.

Add to the pleasure of drinking your favorite morning (afternoon or evening) cup of coffee, tea or cocoa with this handmade stoneware mug. The comfortable handle has the added advantage of not getting hot when heating your beverage in the microwave. The shape of the mug which narrows and then widens keeps your beverage warmer longer.

Terry Parker is the artist behind Loma Prieta Pottery. Every piece of pottery is created by hand with great attention paid to detail to make each piece of pottery function well and be enjoyable for you to use. Tea tastes better in a handmade mug! So does coffee!

My ceramic work is created on a potter's wheel or hand built out of stoneware or porcelain. It is high fired in a gas kiln to 2340° F. It can be used in the microwave and put in the dishwasher.
